Equipment - Alltech ProSphere Reversed Phase Columns

The Alltech ProSphere family are a line of specialty packings for life science and proteomic applications. They are silica based (100Å and 300Å) or polymer based. The Reversed Phase columns use a silica based packing phase to separate proteins, peptides and nucleic acid fragments by hydrophobic interactions modified with an organic solvent.

The P-HR, 4µm packing phase is used to separate complex protein and peptide samples such as enzymatic digests. It is available in LC/MS format in lengths of 50 and 150mm and internal diameters of 150 and 300µm in a length of 150mm and an internal diameter of 2.1mm. It is available in Analytical format in a length of 150mm and an internal diameter of 4.6mm.

The P-PREP, 5µm packing phase is used where additional loading capacity is needed such as in protein purification. It is available in Analytical format in lengths of 150 and 250mm and an internal diameter of 4.6mm and in Prep format in lengths of 100 and 250mm and internal diameters of 10 and 22mm.

The HP ZAP!C18, 1.5µm packing phase uses a small particle size for high speed, high-resolution analysis. It is available in Expedite format in lengths of 10 and 20mm and an internal diameter of 2.1mm, in LC/MS format in lengths of 10 and 20mm and an internal diameter of 4.6mm and in Rocket format in a length of 33mm and an internal diameter of 7mm.

The HP 300Å columns allow access of large proteins, while still maintaining high resolution for small peptides. The C18, 3µm and C4µm packing phases are available in LC/MS format in lengths of 50 and 150mm and internal diameters of 150 and 300µm. They are also available in Solvent Reducer format in lengths of 50 and 150mm and an internal diameter of 3.0mm and in Analytical format in lengths of 50 and 150mm and an internal diameter of 4.6mm. The C18, 5µm and C4, 5µm packing phases are available in Solvent Reducer format in lengths of 150 and 250mm and an internal diameter of 3.0mm. The HP C18-AQ columns are useful for peptide mapping, stable from 100% aqueous to 100% organic and compatible with a broad range of LC/MS mobile phases. The C18-AQ, 3µm packing phases are available in LC/MS format in lengths of 50 and 150mm and internal diameters of 150 and 300µm.
