Analytes - 1,1-dichloroethane

1,1-dichloroethane: CAS No. 75-34-3, C2H4Cl2, molecular weight 98.98, boiling point 57°C, density 1.18gm/mL, vapor pressure 180mm Hg at 20°C, flash point -6°C, autoignition temperature 458°C, slightly water soluble is a colorless liquid used as an intermediate in the production of 1,1-dichloroethylene and to some extent for the synthesis of tetrachloroethanes. It is most frequently measured in water, air, oil and soil to comply with environmental regulations. Due to its volatility, it is most often measured using GC/ECD, ELCD and GC/MS methods specified by regulatory agencies like the U.S. EPA.
